Safety is how
we earn your trust.
From verified credentials to escrowed payments and two-way reviews, every layer of WildTag is built to make the outdoor booking experience trustworthy for everyone involved.
Six layers of
built-in trust.
Trust isn't a feature — it's the foundation. Every system on WildTag is designed around accountability, verification, and fair resolution.
Verified credentials
Every outfitter is required to submit valid hunting/guide licenses, liability insurance, and business registration before listing. Guides are ID-verified and tied to verified outfits.
Secure, escrowed payments
All funds beyond the deposit are held in escrow via Stripe Connect until both parties confirm the trip is complete. Your money is protected — not released until you say the job is done.
Two-way accountability
Hunters rate outfitters and guides. Outfitters rate hunters. Public scores build over time, creating real accountability that makes the whole community safer.
Identity confirmation
Guest identities are confirmed via our verification partner. No anonymous booking. Real people, real names, real accountability — in both directions.
Dispute protection
Disputes are reviewed by WildTag's Trust & Safety team with evidence from both parties. Funds are withheld until resolution. We take misrepresentation seriously.
Rapid safety response
Reports of safety violations, fraud, or dangerous conduct are reviewed within 4 business hours. Accounts are suspended pending investigation when serious risk is identified.
Every outfitter &
guide is vetted before listing.
No one can list a hunt or guide service on WildTag without completing our full verification process. We check licenses, insurance, business registration, and identity — not as a checkbox, but because you deserve to know who you're trusting with your trip.
- ✓State hunting/fishing guide license verification
- ✓General liability insurance — minimum $1M coverage
- ✓Government-issued identity confirmation
- ✓Business registration or sole-proprietor documentation
- ✓Ongoing compliance monitoring — listings can be suspended for lapses
Your money doesn’t
move until you say so.
WildTag uses Stripe Connect with a two-stage escrow model. Your deposit is non-refundable and releases to the outfitter at booking. Your remaining balance stays in escrow until both you and the outfitter confirm the trip is complete. No wire transfers. No unprotected cash. No surprises.
The standards we all
